Ground Up PDX

 

Dates: Mid-May to Mid-August (Flexible)

Hours / Week: 15-20

 

We're looking for a motivated marketing student to join the Ground Up team this summer! Your goal will be to drive awareness for Ground Up PDX through events, influencer / brand partnerships, social media and other marketing tactics. Your primary focus will be on expanding our presence locally, in Portland and the Pacific Northwest!

 

Goal:

Drive awareness for Ground Up PDX through events, influencer / brand partnerships, social media and other marketing tactics. Your primary focus will be on expanding our presence locally, in Portland and the Pacific Northwest!
 

Responsibilities:

  • Local partnerships:

    • Connect with brands, influencers, bloggers, etc. locally who you think would be a good brand fit. Create one on one relationships with key influencers. Coordinate giveaways / events / collabs to drive awareness.

  • Content Creation:

    • Branded photo shoots including our product

  • Events planning:
    • Helping to coordinate our #spreadgood bike ride during Pedalpalooza, and any other events that come up
  • Social media:

    • Create engaging content to expand our social media presence

    • Also work on blog posts, recipes, photography, and more

  • Sales:

    • Assist at various events as needed (optional, if interested we are happy to teach you sales skills)

  • Ad hoc tasks:

    • Hard to say with any small biz, but as time allows we may have you join on occasion for production, labeling jars, UPS runs, etc.

Schedule:

Depending on events, the exact days / times you’re working each week may vary (and you could work remote for a lot of it), but we'll set aside one morning or afternoon a week for a check-in.

Pay:

Unpaid, but with all the nut butter you could want!

Supervision:

You'll be working directly with Carolyn, Ground Up co-founder. Carolyn has a background in digital marketing.
